AccountEdge Cloud, is it for you?

A number of our clients may be interested in what the new AccountEdge Cloud has to offer.  It offers some of the functions of your AccountEdge software for your desktop computer that can be accessed from anywhere via the internet.  As of March 3, 2014, two modules are available, but more are coming.  I will update this blog as I hear of additions.  The two available now are Sales and Time Tracker.

In the Sales module, you can enter new invoices, quotes, and orders.  Your existing customers and jobs from your AccountEdge company file will be there to select, and you can also add new customers and jobs that will be synced back to the master file on your computer.  The syncing is done via DropBox.  You cannot see existing sales, however, so it won’t help you review an account with a customer, for example.  However, it can be very convenient for creating invoices and quotes wherever you are instead of waiting until you get back to the office.

The other module is Time Tracking, which has been around for some time, but is being improved and made more functional in the new AccountEdge Cloud.  With this, you can create users for all your employees and they can both time their tasks and enter their time and have it synced back to your company file.  You choose what access each employee has, so they can use this without having any access to sensitive company or customer information.  So, this can potentially be used as a field time clock, with all info synced into your company file for easy payroll creation and time billing invoices.  You could even create users for your subcontractors and they could send you their hours that way.

AccountEdge says more functionality to these modules and more modules are both coming in the future so stay tuned.

Current pricing is $10/month for one user (Time Tracker-only users do not count), $25/month for up to 5 users, $50/month for up to 10 users, or $100/month for up to 50 users.

AccountEdge Pro 2014 or AccountEdge NE 2014 is required in order to sync AccountEdge Cloud with your company file.  If you want to upgrade to take advantage of this offering, contact us for special pricing (better than Acclivity offers).
